In this candid and moving account, I show that any of us are capable of overcoming even our darkest of pains by embracing the most powerful tool we have....LOVE.

In this talk, I share how boundaries allowed me to accept the limitations of love and acceptance my mother would give. Boundaries also gave me the opportunity to build a self-love, independent of family, friends and successes.

You may know what the term "Understudy" means in theatre, but do you know what a "Swing" is? Do you know what it takes to be one, successfully? I do. In this talk I use my 25 years of experience as a professional performer and the decade I've worked on Broadway as various forms of a Swing to educate listeners about the position that keeps long running shows going. A position that currently has no space in educational settings.

  • Antuan’s first person account of how sexual abuse impacted his sense of self-value and intimate relationships, as well as the steps he took to begin healing those scars.

  • Informed by his decade performing in Broadway hits as the first Male Universal Swing for Hamilton and the first Vacation Swing for In the Heights, Antuan distills the mindset and discipline that made him indispensable. A Swing in Musical Theatre is one of the most cognitively demanding and high-pressure jobs. It demands elite memory, rapid assimilation of information, emotional regulation, humility and resilience.

    In this talk, Antuan will help you identify your own Swing skills so you can thrive in any high-stakes environment; on stage, in the boardroom or wherever adaptability is the difference between chaos and excellence.

  • As a survivor of multiple childhood sexual abuses, Antuan speaks to ways communities can support the healing that’s needed for a survivor. Antuan also shares his journey to healing as an example of how our past doesn’t have to inform our present or dictate our future.
